Bus plunge kills 6 in Bagerhat

Bagerhat Correspondent: Six people were killed and many injured as a passenger bus plunged into a ditch in Kakdanga area on Khulna-Mawa highway in Fakirhat upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sources said that the accident took place around 9:00am in the area when the passenger bus from Khulna plunged into a roadside ditch while overtaking another bus, leaving the six people dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Fakirhat police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abu Jahid said the injured were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
