Bus-truck collision kills 2 in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon Correspondent: At least two people were killed and 16 others injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck in 29-mile area on Thakurgaon-Dhaka highway of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as bus supervisor Abdur and passenger Arif Mahmud, 42, son of Abdul Ganishwar, hailed from Bandinagar of Faridpur district.

Police and witnesses said a BRTC bus collided with a truck in the area around 7:00am, leaving 18 people injured.

Later, the injured were sent to Sadar Hospital where the two people died under treatment.

Thakurgaon Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif Mia confirmed the matter.
