CNG filling stations to remain open for 24 hrs for 14 days

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has taken a decision to keep all CNG filling stations across the country open for 24 hours for 14 days ahead of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Besides, a restriction has been imposed on vehicles carrying goods on the highways three days before the Eid festival.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader came up with the decision at a press conference at the BRTA office on Monday.

The minister said, "The concerned ministry has been requested to keep all CNG filling stations across the country open for 24 hours seven days before and after the Eid. Besides, movement of trucks laden with goods, lorry and covered vans will remain closed this year too three days before the Eid in a bid to ensure hassle-free trip for the homebound people."

The minister also highlighted some more steps to curb sufferings of homebound people during Eid.
