China donates $0.1m to help Cyclone Fani-affected people

Diplomatic Correspondent: The Red Cross Society of China has donated 0.10 million US dollar to Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) to help the people affected by Cyclone Fani.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Zuo handed over the cheque of donation to the BDRCS Secretary General Md Feroz Salah Uddin at a function held at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday.

BDRCS director Nazmul Azam Khan, assistant director (International Relation & Communication) Kh. Enayetullah Akram Palash and Chinese Embassy officials were present.

Ambassador Zuo said their support will continue to help run humanitarian activities carried out by the BDRCS.
