China with Bangladesh to resolve Rohingya crisis: Ambassador

Staff Correspondent: Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Ma Ming Chiang has assured Bangladesh of support in a bid to resolve the Rohingya crisis.

The Chinese ambassador said at an agreement signing ceremony of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Division at the NEC conference room at Agargaon in the city on Sunday morning.

The Chinese envoy said, “Bangladesh is facing a disaster on the Rohingya issue. We promise that we will stand by Bangladesh. I hope this problem will be resolved peacefully as quickly as possible. Both Bangladesh and Myanmar are our friends. So, we hope that the two states will resolve the problem. Already there has been some visible progress through negotiation”.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid and Economic Relations Division Secretary Kazi Shafiqul Azam were present at the signing ceremony.
