College student found dead in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent: Police recovered the body of a college student from a farming land at Purbo Kamarpara village in the municipality area of district town on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, an HSC first year student of Collectorate School and College in the district town and son of Abdul Hossain of the village. He used to live at a hostel of the village.

On information, police recovered the body of Habibur and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.

Menhajul Alam, acting superintendent of police of Kurigram, said it is a brutal killing. Habibur’s hands and legs were found tied up and there were stab injuries on his abdomen.

Police are trying to find out the reason behind the killing. I hope those involved in the killing can be arrested soon, he said.
