Construction worker dies falling from building

A youth worker named Al Amin, 18, has died after falling from the roof of a five-storey under construction building at Ashulia in Savar upazila.

The worker died on Thursday morning.

Al Amin was the son of Md. Ahinur at East Shimulbari village of Jaldhaka thana in Nilphamari district.

According sources, Al Amin was working at the under- construction building of Advocate Shahabuddin in Kurgoan area of Ashulia. In the morning, he fell suddenly when he was pulling rod up the roof. He was sent to a nearest hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Bodruzzaman of Ashulia police station told risingbd, ``Al Amin has died after falling from the roof of the five-storey building at Ashulia. After visiting the spot, the dead body has brought to the thana. We will take the next legal process after talking to the relatives of deceased.’’
