Cops to remain alert during 31st night

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said there is no bar to celebrate 31st night but the programme is not allowed in open space.
The DMP commissioner made the assertion while addressing a press conference at his office on Monday noon.
He said there is no specific threat centering this night. However, additional security measures have been taken as the program is going to hold just after the national election.
The security forces from different law enforcement agencies will also remain active on the streets, he added.
