Coronavirus: 633 people quarantined in 4 districts

Some 633 people were quarantined as part of pre-cautions in six districts of the country on Friday.

Those were quarantined have been suffering from fever and cough.

In Kurigram, six returnees from Saudi Arabia and Dubai were quarantined at their own homes in sadar upazila. Of them, five visited Saudi Arabia for Umra who returned home 4 and 5 March. They all are aged between 40 to 59.

The district Civil Surgeon Dr Habibur Rahman confirmed the news.

In Patuakhali, five people were quarantined. Of them, a person was quarantined on Friday while others on Thursday. They are Chinese citizens.

In Barishal, seven people were quarantined. Of them, four retuned from Italy while three others arrived here from Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Malaysia.

In Jhalakathi, five people were home-quarantined as pre-caution of coronavirus spread. Of them, two retuned from Saudi Arabia. Of the other three, two returned from Netharland and Singapore.

In Chandpur, 608 people were instructed to be quarantined at their own houses.

Additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mahmud confirmed the news.

He said all they returned home from different countries since 25 February.

In Kushtia, a couple were quarantined who returned from South Korea on Monday.

Medical officer Rakibul Islam of the district civil surgeon confirmed the news.
