Couple found dead in Netrokona

Netrokona Correspondent: A person and his wife were found dead in their living room at Satpari area of the district town on Friday noon.

The deceased were identified as Mihir Biswas, 65, retired BADC employee and resident of Bablu Smarani of Satpai and his wife Tulika Chandra alias Sabita Biswas, 55. Sabita was a field worker of social welfare ogranisation.

Police and local said Rajib Pandit, tenant of the deceased's residence informed the matter to local councillor on Friday noon as he could not hear any response of the couple for two days. Later at presence of the councillor, relatives broke the lock of the outside and found them dead inside the room.

The couple had a son and a daughter. The son Sumon Biswas lives in Dhaka while daughter Sumi Biswas lives with her family in Sylhet.

Shankar Kumar Das, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police in Netrokona, confirmed the news.

He said the bodies were sent to Netrokonal Modern Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
