Ctg BCL leader hacked dead

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: A leader of a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong Metropolitan unit was hacked to death by miscreants on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sudeepto Biswas, 24, assistant secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan unit. He was known as follower of former Chittagong mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.

The murder might be happened over internal feud, police guessed.

Sudeepto Biswas, son of one Babul Biswas of 715, South Nalaparha of Sardarghat of the city, completed post graduate from Chittagong Government City College.

Morzina Akter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadarghat Police Station, confirmed the news.

She said, "Miscreants took Sudeepto from his residence to a nearby cloister place where they hacked him to death."

"The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for autopsy," she added.
