Customs houses to remain open during Eid

Economic Correspondent: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has decided to keep the customs houses open during Eid-ul-Azha vacation.

The customs houses will remain open on September 1 to 3 to keep running the export-import of garment-oriented products and others.

It also asked the ports, banks and the stakeholders to keep their offices open for the same purpose.

The NBR issued the directives signed by its member of customs policy Md Lutfar Rahman.

NBR senior information officer Syed A Mumen confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Friday.

According to the order, the authority also asked the commissioners of custom houses in Dhaka, Chittagong, Mongla, Benapole, Pangaon, Kamalapur ICD in the capital, and Dhaka and Chittagong bond commisionarate to take necessary steps in this regard. They have been asked to inform the stakeholders about the matter.
