Cyclon 'Mora' hits Cox's Bazar coast

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: The cyclonic storm ‘Mora’ hit Cox's Bazar coast around 6:00am on Tuesday.
The maximum sustained wind speed in Cox's Bazar town was about 90 kph rising 100 kph in gusts or squalls.
In the latest special bulletin, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the severe cyclonic storm ‘Mora’ moved northwards over North Bay and has started crossing Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong coast near Kutubdia at 6:00 am.
It is likely to move in a northerly direction further, it said.
Under its influence gusty or squally wind with rain or thunder showers is continuing over North Bay and the coastal districts and maritime ports of Bangladesh.
