DMP puts restriction on 31st night celebration

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued some directions on the celebrations of New Year’s Eve.

According to the police directions, some undisciplined people try to do anti-heritage activities in the name of celebration of the 31st night. That’s why all sorts of gatherings, playing of loud music, dancing, concerts, fireworks, crackers, DJ parties, blowing of balloons are also not allowed on the 31st night.

Police said, no one will be allowed to stay in Hatirjheel area after 6:00pm on Monday. The dwellers of Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara area are requested to stay at home after 8:00pm.

The DMP restricted the entry of outsiders and vehicles after 6:00pm in the Dhaka University area. People who are not the residents of Dhaka University have been advised not to go to the area on the night.
