DNCC-DSCC get 36 new wards

Staff Correspondent: The government has formed 36 new wards demolishing 16 unions added to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

A gazette notification was issued in this connection on Sunday.

Earlier, the Local Government Division also issued a gazette after city corporation officials recommended their formation for holding councillor election.

DSCC wards have risen from 57 to 75.

Shyampur, Dania, Matuail, Sarulia, Demra, Manda, Dakshingaon and Nasirabad unions were added to the city corporation as new wards dividing 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75.

Meanwhile DNCC now has 54 wards, after the addition of 18 new wards.

Badda, Bhatara, Satarkul, Beraid, Dumni, Uttarkhan, Dakshin Khan and Harirampur were added to the city corporation dividing as wards of 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54.
