DSCC starts eviction drive in Gulistan again

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) authorities conducted an eviction drive again in Gulistan again on Tuesday noon.

DSCC Executive Magistrate Mamun Sarkar started the drive around 12:00pm to remove illegal constructions at Gulistan footpaths and the surrounding areas.

Besides, the hawkers and footpath traders protested against the eviction drive as usual.

Magistrate Mamun Sarkar said the eviction drive will be continued. No one will be allowed to grab city footpaths.

Earlier on January 11, DSCC authority, in a meeting decided to keep continue drive against city hawkers but the footpath grabbers were also seen to occupy the footpaths again.
