DSHE DG Mahbubur Rahman dies

Staff Correspondent: Director General of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) directorate Professor Mahbubur Rahman passed away.

He breathed his last this morning while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

Information officer of education ministry Mohammad Afrazur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid expressed deep shock at the demise of Mahbubur Rahman and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.

In a message of condolence, Education Minister said, Mahbubur Rahman was a dedicated teacher. His death is an irreparable loss.

The DG, who had been suffering from respiratory complications, was admitted to the hospital on September 24.

On October 7, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave Tk 50 lakh for the better treatment of Mahbubur Rahman.
