DU BCL leader shot

Staff Correspondent: A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader sustained bullet injuries after being shot at Surjashen Hall gate area of Dhaka University (DU) campus yesterday night.

Meshkat Hossain, deputy training secretary of central BCL. He is also a residential student of DU Surjashen Hall.

Witnesses said that Meshkat Hossain and his friends were passing time at the university premises on Saturday night. At one stage, a sound of explosion was heard in the area, leaving him injured. Meanwhile, a pistol was seen at his pocket.

Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. There is an allegation that he usually carry fire arms in the university campus.
