DU female student dies for wrong treatment

Staff Correspondent: A first year student of Dhaka University died allegedly due to wrong treatment at capital's Central Hospital on Thursday night.

Afia Akter Choiti, the deceased, was a first-year student of zoology department.

Sources said that the student was admitted to Central hospital on Wednesday. Later, doctors declared her dead today. 

Dhanmondi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif told risingbd.com that the university authority filed a case in this regard. Police started investigation. Details can be said later.

Following the death, classmates and relatives of the student rushed to the spot and vandalized the hospital.

Later, additional police forces were deployed in the hospital area and brought the situation under control.
