DU students oppose Home Economics girls’ demand

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka University (DU) students staged demonstrations on the campus protesting the demand of Home Economics College students to declare the college as a DU institute.

They alleged that, Home economics student’s movement is fully illogical. People are suffering due to their strike at Nilkhet intersection.

The DU students placed 5 point demand to Dhaka University Vice chancellor Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddiq and submitted a memorandum.

The demands include not allowing affiliated institutions to use DU name, logo and monogram, separate policy for affiliated institutions and separate convocation for DU students.

If the Home Economics girls’ don't stop their demonstrations then harder steps will be taken against their ongoing protest program, DU students said.
