Daylong transport strike underway in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A dawn-to-dusk strike, enforced by transport owners and workers demanding five points, is underway in Tangail district.
Transport plying will remain stopped across the district from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Monday.
Earlier on February 19, Tangail district bus-coach-minibus owners association and workers union jointly announced the strike through a press conference.
The demands included putting a halt to extortion, stopping illegal CNG Nasiman, Kariman, ending harassment and robbery on highway.
