Decision Saturday on how many EVMs to be used

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) will join a meeting on Saturday to take decision on the number of centers where Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to be used in the 11th parliamentary elections.

EC secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed made the disclosure while addressing reporters at Agargaon in the capital on Wednesday.

Regarding the number of EVM use spots, the EC secretary said, “The decision is not final yet. A meeting will take place at 3:30pm on Saturday.”

In reply to a query, he said that EVMs will be used at some city areas. EC will join a meeting on November 24 to finalize it.
