Denmark-Bangladesh youth exchange program held in Cox's Bazar

A youth exchange program was held in Cox's Bazar with the participation of youths from Denmark and Bangladesh.

A total of 27 youths from Bangladesh and 26 youths from Denmark took part in the program. They got to know a lot about the two countries from this one of a kind 14-day exchange program. The young people highlighted their country's lifestyle, culture, Social values and traditions. The purpose of the Youth Exchange Program was the exchange of ideas of youth of the two countries begining from November 2.

Organizers believe that young people will become capable of handling national and international crises through this type of team building program.  Rosa Clover Rungstedt, a young woman from Denmark, said "I made lots of friends coming to the Youth Exchange Program in Bangladesh. I've learned how to make projects, how to identify a problem and find a way to solve it. And I got to know about the plight of the Rohingya refugees during my field visit to the Rohingya Camp."

Obayedullah Al-Emon, a youth from Bangladesh, said, "There have been a lot of discussions about Bangladesh and their country. I have learnt many new things joining here."

Program Coordinator Mohammed Mamun Mia said, "Through the Youth Exchange program, young people from Bangladesh and Denmark have had the opportunity of cultural, perspectives and knowledge sharing; which has helped young people of both countries to gain a lot of experience. I believe this will surely play a role in the future decision-making of the participants."
