Dhoni lands in trouble with an FIR filed against him

Former India skipper MS Dhoni, has been in the news for quite some time now amidst all his retirement speculations. And now the celebrated cricketer has once again made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The Police has filed an FIR on Dhoni’s name over his association with Amrapali Group, who has cheated a lot of people by taking money and not delivering the promised projects.

The veteran cricketer was the brand ambassador until 2016 of the real estate group, who had amassed Rs 2,647 crore from the home buyers to provide them with the homes.

In the list of accused MS Dhoni’s name has also been sought as per the FIR filed by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing on November 27.

It came to the notice of Supreme Court after many customers complained of not getting the flat from Amrapali Group.

In the latest FIR, the victims have alleged that MS Dhoni is a public figure and should also be held responsible for the scam because he did promotions for them. The potential buyers have urged the agencies to look into the role of MS Dhoni in the fraud.
