Entertainment Desk: The actress dazzled in this H&M 100 percent recycled polyester gown while promoting sustainable fashion.

When one thinks of sustainable fashion, a pretty princess-like gown you can twirl in rarely comes to the mind. But that's just what Dia Mirza pulled off!

The Bollywood actress walked the ramp for Swedish fashion retail giant, H&M, during the recent Amazon India Fashion Week. Dia was present at the launch of the very special Conscious Exclusive collection at the preview co-hosted with the Fashion Design Council of India.

The 100 percent recycled polyester gown Dia donned from the collection was simply outstanding. The sheer tulle gown was feminine to the hilt, and Dia delighted the audience even more by twirling a little. "I am huge champion of nature and this line of H&M reflects my personal ethos... I think it's important to pay attention on how one can reuse and recycle for sustainable fashion," the 35-year-old told IANS.

"The only thing I am concerned about is being comfortable, and if I am dressed appropriately for the occasion, I take great pride in that. My stylist is always looking out for putting me in clothes that are sustainable, so we celebrate fabrics and also opt for designers who choose to make clothes from hand woven and organic materials," she added.

The H&M Conscious Exclusive collection is the brand's effort towards making sustainable, good-quality fashion accessible to as many people as possible. While the brand is already one of the world's biggest users of recycled polyester and organic cotton, their new collection promises to garner more popularity for sustainable fashion.
