Digital Security Act: Diplomats hold meeting with Law Minister

Secretariat Correspondent: Diplomats from 10 countries and the European Union (EU) have held a meeting with Law Minister Anisul Huq over three sections of the proposed Digital Security Act.

The sections are 21, 25 and 28 of the proposed act.

After the meeting held at the secretariat, Law Minister Anisul Huq said, “They expressed their opinions over the sections, 21, 25 and 28 of the proposed act. We also presented our opinion. Further discussions will be held as we’ll meet again soon.”

Anisul Huq assured them that they will look into the matter and talk to the authorities concerned.

The 10 countries are Germany, Sweden, the USA, Denmark, France, Canada, the UK, Spain, Norway and Switzerland.
