Doctor, cop among 24 infected with corona in Satkhira

24 new coronavirus or Covid-19 patients including two physicians, two health workers and a police member have been detected in Satkhira, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 294.

Dr Jayanta Sarkar, a medical officer of Satkhira Civil Surgeon office, confirmed the information on Thursday (July 9) afternoon.

24 new people have been found infected with coronavirus after carrying out sample tests at the genome centre of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), he said.
