Don’t get confused by fake news: PMO

Desk Report: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has urged all not to get confused with the fake news being run by various vested quarters through different news portals and social media involving the Prime Minister over the current situation.

A press release issued by the PMO on Thursday said such distorted, fake, fabricated news items are aimed at confusing the common people and the innocent students now on a movement seeking safe roads.

The release, signed by PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim, said such fabricated news items are creating confusions in public mind under the present condition of the country.

It urged all not to get confused with such fake news.

On Sunday, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, students of the college section of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin School and College, were killed as a Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan bus (Dhaka Metro B 11-9297) ploughed through some students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road in the capital.

The tragic accident sparked off huge student protests across the country that were continuing for the fifth consecutive day on Thursday.
