Dr Anisuzzaman hospitalised

Staff Correspondent: Bangla Academy President and Professor Emeritus Dr. Anisuzzaman has been hospitalised with lung infections.

He was admitted to Universal Cardiac Hospital (former Ayesha Memorial Hospital) in the capital on Friday night.

Dr. Ashish Kumar Chakrabarty, Managing Director of the hospital, confirmed the news.

He said, “Dr. Anisuzzaman was admitted to the hospital with lung infections. Now, his condition is stable.”

“A medical team has already been formed to check up his health condition. Several tests are expected to complete on Saturday night. Following the tests, another medical team will be formed for further treatment,” sources of the hospital said.
