Driver burnt as bus catches fire in city

Staff Correspondent: A fire has broken out in a bus at the capital's Shahbag area as its gas cylinder basted leaving its driver burnt.

The incident took place around 12:10pm on Wednesday.

Rasel Shikdar, duty officer of Fire Service, confirmed the news.

He said, being informed, two units of fire service doused the blaze.

Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said Atik Hossain, 42, driver of the bus sustained burn injuries severely. He was admitted to DMCH's burn unit.
