‘Drug trader’ found dead in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent: Police recovered the dead body of a ‘drug peddler’ from Raipur Railway Station area under Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohon Sheikh, 55, son of late Hayat Ali. According to police, he was accused in several drugs-related cases.

Mohammad Daud, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said “A gunfight took place between two gangs of drug dealers over the share of money. We sent a team when we learned about the gunfight”.

“We recovered Mohon’s body from the spot” he added.

The body was sent to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
