EC in meeting over EVM use

Staff Correspondent: The Election Commission (EC) has begun a meeting over the final decision of using Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.

The meeting began at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon at 3:30pm on Saturday.

According to EC sources, EVMs will be used at more than fifty polling stations in different cities and town.

But Jatiya Oikyafront and several other political parties have placed objection against the decision of using EVMs in the election.
