'EVM to 100 constituencies to be used in next JS polls'

Staff Correspondent: Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed said the Commission will use Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to 100 constituencies in the upcoming 11th national parliamentary election.

The EC secretary came up with the disclosure while talking to newsmen at the Election Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon on Tuesday noon.

Preparation is underway to introduce EVM in 100 electoral constituencies, EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed said.

Voters of as many as 100 constituencies will use the EVM to exercise their voting rights, he said.

The 11th parliamentary election will be held in the last week of December, he added.
