EVM won't be used forcefully: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda has said that Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) will not be used putting additional pressure in the election.

The CEC made the opinion while addressing an inaugural programme at the training institute in capital's Agargaon on Saturday.

KM Nurul Huda said there would be question in people's mind over EVM. Voters have to know about EVM. It will be used in the next parliamentary election after legal basis.

He also said there is no much time for the next national election. The preparations have already begun.

EC Additional secretary Mokhlesur Rahman, Election training institute director general Mostafa Faruq and others attended the function.
