Edu institutions’ closure may be extended in phases

The government announced shut all educational institutions and coaching centres from March 18 to April 9, as a preventive measure against further spread of novel coronavirus.

The closure may be extended in phases, according to officials concern.

Many believe that the closure may be extended till leave of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, responsible officials said no decision of leave till Eid has yet not been announced. Measures would be taken considering the situation.

Md Mahbub Hossain, Secretary for Secondary and Higher Education Department, on Tuesday told risinbd that we would extend leave in phases considering situation. All the educational institutions remain closed till April 9. So, the decision would be taken through observing situation till April 7 or 8.

He, however, said the closure will not be extended till Eid at a time. It may be happened in phases through evaluation of situation.
