Staff Correspondent: Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers suffered immensely on Saturday following schedule disruption of trains mainly for the routes of northern districts in the country.
Sharing joys and sorrows with relatives is a tradition in the lives of Bengalese. So, people start moving to their native villages to celebrate Eid with their loved ones avoiding hassles.
A good number of people got Eid advance tickets on May 23. These people crowded at Kamalapur railway station today to go their homes. But, trains were delayed by one to three hours.
Following the issue, Kamalapur railway station manager Aminul Haque said that ‘Rangpur Express’ train was delayed. So, changing names, another train was sent today to fill that schedule gap. However, the main train will move through the route from tomorrow.”
