Election to Rajshahi-Sylhet-Barishal cities July 30

Staff Correspondent: Election to three city corporations- Rajshahi-Sylhet-Barishal-will be held on July 30.

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda announced the schedule at a press conference at Agargaon in the city on Tuesday.

According to the election schedule announced, the last date for filing nomination is June 28 and withdrawing July 9. The nominations will be scrutinised through July 1 and 2.

According to the LGRD ministry, the tenure of Rajshahi City Corporation will end on October 5, Barishal City Corporation on October 23 and Sylhet City Corporation on October 8. The last civic polls in Rajshahi, Barishal and Sylhet were held on June 15, 2013.
