Election to be competitive even without BNP: HT Imam

Senior Correspondent: Prime Minister’s political adviser H T Imam said that the upazila election will be competitive even BNP does not participate in the race.

He made the remark emerging from a meeting of publicity sub-committee at Dhanmondi in the capital on Friday.

H T Imam said, “BNP has now been cornered. There are many more parties in the country, they will participate. But the election will be competitive.”

“Two things are remarkable those were not grasped by BNP. Of the things, one is women move. A lot of women voters were seen everywhere of the country during recent polls. It happens as Sheikh Hasina has been working for women rise and empowerment for 10 years,” he added.

“The other thing is youth society. War criminals told them fake history over the Liberation War. They turned their face from them as the government disclosed the real history of the war,” he said.
