Ershad to be buried in Rangpur

Senior Correspondent: Former president and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad is finally being buried in Rangpur in face of mass demand of people of all walks of lives.

Ershad’s wife Rowshan Ershad, his younger brother GM Quader along with other family members took the decision to bury him there, respecting people’s affection, love and tribute to Ershad.

Information Officer of the opposition leader in Parliament Mamun Hassan confirmed the news to risingbd on Tuesday afternoon.

He said, “Rowshan Ershad gave her consent to bury her husband at ‘Palli Nibas’ in Rangpur, expressing her respects to mass people’s affection, love and gratitude for Ershad.”

Rowshan said for Rangpur people, “Our family will be grateful and owed to Rangpur people forever for their untold affection, love and gratitude to Ershad.”

She also requested all to pray for the salvation of Ershad’s departed soul.
