Ershad will not cast vote this time too

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Former president and also the chairman of Jatiya Party (JP) Hussain Muhammad Ershad will not cast his vote this time too.
He will not visit Rangpur to cast his vote because of illness. He did not exercise his franchise the last general election too.
Ershad was expected to cast his vote at the Shishumongal Government Primary School polling centre as he is contesting the 11th parliamentary elections from Rangpur-3 constituency and the voter of the area. But he is not able to visit Rangpur due to illness.
His Assistant Personal Secretary Monjurul Islam on Saturday confirmed the matter.
Earlier on December 26, Ershad arrived in Dhaka after ending his treatment from Singapore.
He along with Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu left Bangladesh for Singapore on December 10.
JP will contest the elections in 161 seats including 29 seats from Awami League-led grand alliance.
The national elections will be held on December 30.
