Former British Prime Minister David Cameron makes a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the prime minister's office at 10:00am on Thursday (April 27, 2017).

Staff Correspondent: Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has made a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning.

The visiting former British prime minister made the courtesy call at the prime minister's office at 10:00am on Thursday.

Details regarding the meeting could not be known.

Cameron came in a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok on Wednesday night at the invitation of an UK-based NGO in Dhaka.

Cameron, who resigned as prime minister last year after Brexit voting, will take a look at a DFID project inside Dhaka and attend a roundtable of the International Growth Centre, foreign ministry sources said.

Besides, he is also scheduled to meet BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, another source said.

Cameron was British Prime Minister from 2010-2016.
