Ex-Jamaat MP Shahjahan Chy arrested

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Detectives have arrested former Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker and the central leader of the party Shahjahan Chowdhury of Satkania upazila in Chattogram.

Detective Branch (DB) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested him from poultry farm area of the city’s Khulshi Police Station on Friday noon.

Amena Begum, Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operation) of CMP, confirmed the news.

Police said, “Shahjahan Chowdhury along with his four associates were arrested. They were taken to the city’s DB office. Shahjahan Chowdhury was sued in several sabotage cases.”
