Ex-Jamaat men float new party

Senior Correspondent: A number of former leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami has formed a political party ‘Jano Akankhar Bangladesh’.

The leaders announced their new party at a press conference held at Hotel Ekattor in the city on Saturday noon.

At the press conference, coordinator of the new party Mujibur Rahman Manju “It is a completely independent initiative, we are not followers of any party. We have no relation with any political party including Jamaat-e-Islami. Our political party will be truly inclusive and positive to build a prosperous Bangladesh”.
