Fahim Mashroor released after interrogation

Staff Correspondent: AKM Fahim Mashroor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bangladesh’s largest job site bdjobs.com, also former Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), has been released after interrogation.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the news.
He said, “He (Fahim Mashroor) was released after asking some information over the case filed against him.”
“He was released after interrogation for the sake of investigation. He was on a bondage as there was filed a case against him,” he added.
Detectives said, “Fahim was picked up for quizzing over the allegations. He was asked about the information found on her Facebook account. However, no allegation was fixed against him over the issue.”
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained him from the 7th floor of Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) Bhaban of the capital’s Karwan Bazar on Wednesday morning.
A case was filed against him with Kafrul Police Station in Dhaka under Information and Technology ACT on April 22.
According to the case statement, PM’s distorted photo along with provocative, false and insulting status and information was uploaded and shared it from Facebook account of Fahim Mashroor which deteriorated law and order situation and created anarchy and unstable situation in the country.
Eight charges were brought against him in the case filed by Al Sadik, former Mass Education Secretary of Dhaka University (DU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
