‘Fair election a must for the future’

Staff Correspondent: Election Commissioner Brigadier (retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury has said, "A fair election is essential for the future of the country”.

He said this at a programme organized by Election Training Institute at Agargaon in the city on Saturday morning.

 

Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury said, “We are all the citizens of this country. We believe that a fair election is essential for the future of this country.  A government for the people can be formed through a fair election. They will lead this country forward”.

The Election Commission does not want to hold an unfair election, said the commissioner.

Shahadat Hossain inaugurated a training programme for trainers on Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), EMS, CIMS and RMS software ahead of the eleventh parliamentary election.
