'Faridpur to be divisional headquarter of Padma Division'

Faridpur Correspondent: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said that Faridpur will be made as Padma Division.

The minister made the disclosure while addressing a programme organized by Sadar Upazila Parishad at 'Afsana Manzil' in Badarpur area of Faridpur on Friday morning.

He said the people of Faridpur region will need not to go to Dhaka as a divisional headquarter will be made here in Faridpur.

"Laptop distribution is underway to digitalize every educational institution. Corruption can be removed if the country becomes digital," he added. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Provangshu Som Mohan, Sadar Upazila Chairman Khandakar Mohtesam Hossain Babor, District Primary Education Officer Shibpad De and others attended the function.
