Farzana Islam made JU VC for second time

JU Correspondent: Professor Farzana Islam has been reappointed as the vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the second time for four years.

President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of JU, signed a circular in this regard on Thursday, said Farzana Islam.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan congratulated her over separated phone calls, she also said.

She was made the country’s first woman VC in the public university on March 2, 2014. Her first tenure will end March 2 in 2018.
