Father commits suicide after killing two kids

Narsingdi Correspondent: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his two children.

The incident took place on Thursday midnight at Tulatoli Moholla village in Raipura upazila.
The deceased were identified as Kajal Mollah, 35, his daughter Kakoli Akhter, 8, and son Sohan Molla, 5, of the village.

According to sources, Kajal might have drowned his two children to death and then committed suicide over frustration.

Quoting family members, police said Kajal, an auto-rickshaw driver, provided several lakh taka to one Ruhul Amin, a  broker of Kishoreganj, for going to Kuwait after selling his ancestral land two years back.

Being cheated Kajal filed a case with Raipura Police Station against Ruhul last year but failed to get the court verdict in favour of him  due to lack of witnesses.

Local people found the body of Kajal hanging from a tree and the bodies of his children lying on the bank of a pond in the morning and informed the police.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
