Father-son killed, mother-daughter injured in road crash

Cumilla Correspondent: A man and his son have been killed and his wife and daughter injured in a road crash in Cumilla.

The incident took place as a human hauler (leguna) collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Palpara area on Shashongachha-Burichang road in the district sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Aminul Islam of Dhaka’s Ashkona area and his son Wasi Islam.

The injured are: Yesmin Begum, wife of Aminul, and their daughter Afsa Akter.

They have been admitted to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital.

According to police, Aminul was returning to Dhaka with his family members after celebrating Eid at his father-in-law’s house. The CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying Aminul’s family collided the opposite head leguna, leaving its four passengers injured. They were immediately taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital where father and son died.
