Female college student slaughtered in Khagrachhari

Khagrachhari Correspondent: A female college student was slaughtered in her living room at Arambag area of Shantinagar of the district town on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Ety Chakma, 17, daughter of late Antorendrio Chakma of Chhantila parha of Dighinala upazila.

She was HSC final year student of Khagrachhari government college.

 She used to live at the house of Atol Chakma, her brother-in-law (husband of sister), in the area.

Atol Chakma said, "Ety used to live with us. My wife Jonaki Chakma is a teacher. She went out of home on Monday afternoon. She found her body lying in a pool of blood in her living room when returned home around 10:00pm."

 
Tareque Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station, confirmed the news.

The body was sent to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he said.
